The show garnered mixed to positive reviews from music critics. In a positive side, critics were favorable towards Aguilera's vocal performance and her outfits, as well as the background of the tour. On the other hand, some critics were not impressed towards the setlist opined that Aguilera's voice was "misguided". The Back to Basic Tour proved to be a commercial success, grossing over US$48.2 million overall. In late July and early August 2007, Aguilera suffered from the flu, forcing her to cancel four Oceania dates. The show in Adelaide, Australia was filmed as a DVD entitled ''Back to Basics: Live and Down Under'' and was released in 2008 by RCA Records. ==Background== Following the success of The Stripped Tour, which was embarked to promote Aguilera's fourth studio album ''Stripped'' in 2003, another US summer tour was scheduled with Chingy to begin in 2004 with a new theme.
